Thracian Noble

after i watched the new dwayne johnson Hercules movie...(being dismayed that once again people can't seem to figure out that it is supposed to be HERACLES.) i found that the film was featuring one of my favourite civilizations, the Thracians. so i decided to bandwagon and paint a pair of Thracian warriors as they should be.

Though Thracians used all sorts of different swords from celtic longswords, to greek xyphos, the sica and the romphaia were the two most famous thracian weapons.

Thrace was steeped in warrior culture and were best known for their light highly mobile infantry that could take out enemy heavy infantry and horsemen with their javelins.
